Data controller
The data controller is Digital Faber di Fabbri Stefano, located at Via Antonio Gramsci 18/B, 20051 Cassina de’ Pecchi, Italy, VAT/Tax ID 07454370961. For any request regarding the processing of your personal data, write to privacy@pitfire.ai.
Data we collect
We only collect what Pitfire needs to work:
- Email — if you create an account, we collect your email address to sign you in (passwordless, via magic link).
- Usage metadata — we log which feature you used, in which language, and whether the request succeeded — not the content of your questions or generated plans.
- Question & plan text — what you type into Ask the Pit or Cook Planner is processed in real time to generate a response and is not permanently stored in our systems.
- IP address — used transiently to prevent abuse of the service (request rate-limiting), via Upstash Redis.

We process your data to provide the service you request (giving you the answers and cook plans you ask for) and, for IP addresses, on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the service.
Data retention
We keep your email address for as long as your account stays active, or until you request deletion. Aggregated usage-log data (without question content) is kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data, request data portability, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@pitfire.ai.
Cookies & analytics
We use a self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) to understand how the site is used, in aggregate. This tool doesn’t use tracking cookies, doesn’t permanently store your IP address, and doesn’t follow you across other sites. The only cookie we use is the technical one needed to keep you signed in, if you’ve logged in.
