🥫 South Carolina Gold Mustard Sauce
South Carolinatangy, mustardy, slightly sweet, medium consistency

Ingredients & recipe
| Yellow Mustard | 120 ml | |
| Apple Cider Vinegar | 60 ml | |
| Honey | 3 tbsp | |
| Brown Sugar | 2 tbsp | |
| Worcestershire Sauce | 1 tbsp | |
| Hot Sauce | 1 tsp | |
| Black Pepper | 0.5 tsp | |
| Garlic Powder | 0.5 tsp |
Preparation
- Combine mustard, vinegar, honey, brown sugar and Worcestershire in a saucepan.
- Add hot sauce, pepper and garlic powder.
- Heat over medium-low, stirring until sugar dissolves, 5-8 minutes.
- Should not boil — just warm to blend.
- Cool before using. Keeps refrigerated 3 weeks.
Notes
Unique in American BBQ — nothing else tastes like it. Excellent on chicken. Easier to make from scratch in Europe than to find commercially.
